DA NANG

Da Nang is a coastal city in central Vietnam, famous for its sun, sea, sand and historical French colonial port. Ba Na Hills should be on your checklist when you are visiting Vietnam. Da Nang is also the commercial and educational centre of central Vietnam. 

Things to Do

1. Ba Na Hills. It is an integrated tourism destination, with amusement park, hotels, and cable car inside. At the height of 1487m from the sea level, the world-record-breaking cable car system will amaze you and allow you to view the landscape from the top of everything. you may indulge in a number of sites and unique destinations especially the most loved French Village. It reenacts an old fashioned and tranquil France with some classical landmarks such as church and inns. Link.

2. The Golden Bridge. This is also located at Ba Na Hills which was officially inaugurated in June 2018 and was voted as "Top 10 best destinations of the world 2018" by TIME Magazine. This has become a landmark and a must-go place in Da Nang and Vietnam.

3. Linh Ung Pagoda. 9km away from the city center, this is the largest pagoda in Da Nang City. There is a 67m high (equivalent to 30-storey building) Lady Buddha which is considered the tallest one in Vietnam. It was believed as an auspicious sign and for people to worship for peace and stability for the fishermen. 

4. Asia Park. Amusement park with a massive Ferris wheel and other rides. There is also a cultural park inside that consists of mini architectural works and artworks that symbolise 10 Asian countries. Link.

5. Da Nang Cathedral. The Gothic-style pink church in the city center which was built in 1923. Another landmark to visit in Vietnam because you just don't see pink church everywhere!

6. My Khe BeachYou definitely will have to spend more time at beach to enjoy the best summer vibe in Vietnam. Da Nang has the best long coastline in Vietnam with really clean beach. It is a perfect place for you to relax and unwind. 

Accommodation

Da Nang is a very developed tourism city and airport is just in the town. It is not difficult to choose the accommodations in here. A large range of selections from backpacker hostels, budget hotels, boutique hotels, local decent hotels, to five star hotels at the coastline. As long as you do not choose a hotel which is too far from city, it should be convenient for you to go everywhere.

Transport

There are international flights from some nearby countries. Domestic flights are more popular from Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh city. Da Nang International Airport is the airport in Da Nang, located just in the city. Train is available as Da Nang is on the main Vietnamese coastal train route. There are services from Hanoi, Hue, and Ho Chi Minh City. And without a doubt sleeper bus is always a good options for travellers on budget. Services are also available from most of the major cities like Hanoi, Hue, and Nha Trang. Within the city you may just walk or rent a bike or bicycle or get a taxi. 'Grab' ride is again a convenient and affordable option.

Best Time to Travel

Located in the tropical monsoon region, Da Nang's dry season is from January to July and wet season from August to December. The weather is quite predictable. The highest temperature is around 28-30 celsius degree in June, July, and August. Lowest temperature is around 18-23 celsius degree in December, January, and February.
